Steppes Travel Announces a Series of Travel Lectures for Spring 2008
Cirencester, United Kingdom, January 24, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Steppes Travel (http://www.steppestravel.co.uk) is pleased to announce a series of travel lectures at Cirencester Agricultural College this spring. (http://www.steppestravel.co.uk/steppes-lectures-page1728.aspx)
The first lecture is called "Primate Passion" and will be conducted by Chris Johnston and Justin Wateridge on Tuesday 29th January. Chris and Justin will talk of their experiences of travelling to equatorial rainforests, being charged by lowland gorillas, being shocked by the deforestation in Borneo and charmed by the antics of young mountain gorillas.
The second lecture will be conducted by Nick Laing and Justin Wateridge on Tuesday 12th February and is called “Highlights from the Axis of Evil”. Nick and Justin will talk of their travels through Libya, Sudan and Yemen and some of the incredible treasures that these countries hold as well as the hospitality of their peoples.
“Painted Hunted Dog” by Greg Rasmussen is on Tuesday 26th February. The talk will be based around Greg Rasmussen’s conservation and research work on the Wild Dog in Africa.
The final talk of the spring season will be "Stanley" by Tim Jeal on Tuesday 29th April. The story of Stanley's life is extraordinary and dramatic enough in itself, and Tim Jeal tells it with vividness. His biography of Stanley is not just a gripping read, it is also an eye-opener.
All the talks start at 7:30pm at Boutflour Hall, Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester, Glos GL7 6JS. There will be drinks and a chance to meet some of the Steppes team beforehand from 6:45pm onwards
Entry is free but please call Steppes Travel on 01285 880980 for further details and/or to confirm your place.
