European Commission Provide Latest Updates on the Juncker Plan
SMi's Benelux Infrastructure Forum will be returning to Amsterdam for the 15th successive year on the 23-24 November 2016.
Amsterdam, Netherlands, September 29, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Earlier this month "European Commission head Jean-Claude Juncker proposed to double his flagship EU investment plan to 630 billion euros by 2022 in a bid to boost the economy." *(Source)
Initially the investment was meant to cost €315 billion over the space of three years, however it has now been announced that there is a proposal from the European Commission to double this.
Giorgio Chiarion Casoni, Head of Unit, DG Economic and Financial Affairs, European Commission will give a keynote address at this year’s 15th annual Benelux Infrastructure Forum where he will speak on "The Investment Plan for Europe: Update on the Juncker plan." The presentation is aimed at providing information on the European Fund for Strategy Investments (EFSI) which was €315 billion of investment. However, with the recent discussions to double this investment, this session is bound to be both insightful and informative by supplying attendees with the latest updates on the project.
Furthermore, Giorgio Chiarion Casoni will also give an overview of the first 18 months of the Juncker plan and look at the overall impact that the investment plan has already had.
He will also discuss how to encourage more risk taking from investors as well as assess the opportunities that are available to investors.
European Commission will be joined by: SMBC Europe Limited Amsterdam Branch, Ministry of Finance, Netherlands, Equator, Macquarie Capital, Green Investment Bank, John Laing, Port of Rotterdam, ParkWind, KBC Bank N.V, Rabobank and many more.
Alongside the conference will be two pre-conference workshops on project risk management (hosted by Aon) and managing complex PPP infrastructure projects (hosted by Astrea Law).
A preliminary list of attendees has been released; visit the download section of the event website to view the PDF.
