California School Employees Association (CSEA) Chapter 620 Endorses Sandee Everett for School Board
Thousand Oaks, CA, September 30, 2016 --(PR.com)-- The California School Employees Association (CSEA) Chapter 620 announced yesterday its endorsement of Sandee Everett in her candidacy for the Conejo Valley Board of Education.
“CSEA Chapter 620 is proud to endorse Sandee Everett and Julie Freedman for the Conejo Unified School Board,” states Matt Waldman, president of the Conejo Valley CSEA chapter. “We feel that they both bring the necessary skills to make changes needed in the district as well as enhance existing programs.”
The CSEA is the union that represents classified school employees. The Conejo Valley Unified School District (CVUSD) currently has approximately 900 classified employees.
“I feel very honored to receive the endorsement of CSEA,” says school board candidate Sandee Everett. “This speaks to my commitment to good relations between the district leadership and district employees. If I am elected to the CVUSD Board of Education this November, I intend to work hard to maintain a great relationship with everyone who works in our wonderful schools.”
Two seats of the five-member CVUSD Board of Education are up for election this year. The voting for school board will take place on November 8th as part of the general election.
About Sandee Everett
Sandee Everett is the mother of five children. Her oldest two graduated from Newbury Park High School and her youngest three children still attend CVUSD schools. Sandee is the daughter of two public school teachers. She has a master’s degree in education from Purdue University with a concentration in school counseling. Sandee has held an active California license as a school counselor since 2012. Upon graduation and completing all requirements for licensure, including several hundred hours working as an unpaid intern in elementary, middle and high schools, Sandee has chosen to work as a full-time mother and community volunteer. She lives with her children and husband of 23 years, Craig, in Newbury Park.
