Women to Explore Personal Growth, Visions for the New Year in Wellness Workshop Series

Torrance, CA, October 04, 2016 --(PR.com)-- An affair for South Bay women of all ages and backgrounds, “REAL Women’s Night Out,” a new effort to introduce women to techniques to help them create and empower, launches on Friday, Oct. 14 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. at the Social Science Consulting Offices, 2790 Skypark Drive, Suite 215, Torrance, CA 90505.

Focusing on fun and personal growth, the series of monthly workshops is designed to promote wellness by providing an opportunity for honest self-observation and to develop life-changing coping tools in a relaxing environment among friendly and supportive women.

Launched by two South Bay Life Coaches with backgrounds in teaching and mentoring, the “REAL Women’s Night Out” series focuses on Relationships, Empowerment, Accountability and Laughter.

“We know that when women go out, they want to do something or create something, and we thought it would be fun to have a night out that women can gain from — that offers lasting benefits,” says Carolyn Thompson, founder of Life In Focus Wellness, who crafted the series with her close friend Elizabeth Simone, MATS, IWLC, founder of Simone Wellness Consulting. “This series will empower women from all walks of life with the tools and techniques they need to attain balance and focus, find fulfillment and achieve and maintain personal growth. A big part of our emphasis is on building creative tools and techniques, so each session will include some type of creative aspect, such as a craft or other hands-on activity.”

Each workshop focuses on a different theme of development, from stress management to total body well-being.

“Our kickoff workshop will be the most self-reflective: we have activities and exercises to explore what’s weighing you down and find ways to release that and re-direct negativity into positivity,” Thompson says.

The Oct. 14 Women’s Night Out theme is “Without Borders: Breaking down the walls of your heart.” Other topics in the series include:

· Nov. 18 – Shake it Off: Maintaining harmony while stressed
· Dec. 16 – I Have a Dream: Creating a balanced vision
· Jan. 13 – New Year, New You: Tools for becoming the best version of yourself
· Additional dates and themes will be released soon

The timing of the “REAL Women’s Night Out” series is no coincidence, as the monthly programming, including speakers, gentle exercises, and group and individual activities is designed to help attendees focus on living an empowering life of intention.

“With the seasons changing and a new year approaching, there is no better time to take concrete steps toward reaching a goal or making a change,” says Simone, founder of Simone Wellness Consulting, who for six years worked in the development of education and training with the Los Angeles Unified School District and was the Director of Youth, Young Adult and Family Ministry in Long Beach. “We want to help women build the practical skills and the confidence to take those steps toward living their best lives.”

Workshops are designed to encourage a friendly and intimate environment. Sessions run 90 minutes, from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., with light refreshments offered and free parking provided. Attendees must be at least 18 years old.

Admission is $30 if prepaid online; $35 at the door. A two-pack of sessions can be purchased online for $50 in advance. RSVP at http://www.LifeInFocusWellness.com/services.
