The Lightning Experience is a completely new user interface designed to provide users with a more modern experience to help them sell more effectively and efficiently. As with all new features of the Salesforce Customer Success Platform, Lightning is expected to be available October 17th with the release of Winter ‘16. All existing configurations don’t have to change. Additionally, customers will have control over the roll-out strategy for their organization, as admins can enable Lightning Experience access at the user, profile, and organization level.
