Visionary Business Transitions, LLC Announce Launch of a New Sell-Side Representation M&A Firm
Visionary Business Transitions was founded by two professionals who have spent their entire careers working with and helping closely held business owners. Drawing their legal and accounting backgrounds combined with years of experience helping business owners sell their business has resulted in a firm whose depth, experience and execution is unmatched by others.
Saint Louis, MO, October 07, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Barbara Hartung and Steve Gustafson have joined forces to assist business owners with selling or otherwise transitioning their businesses.
Barb Hartung has spent over 25 years helping business sellers and business buyers achieve their goals. She views helping clients business sell their businesses realizing the reward for their years of hard work as the most gratifying aspect of her professional life.
Before devoting her career to helping business owners sell and acquire businesses, she practiced as a CPA and, for more than 18 years, was a partner with a major St. Louis law firm and national law firm.
Barbara’s experience includes managing domestic and international sales and purchases for both closely held businesses and publicly traded corporations, acting as outside general counsel to middle market companies, and serving in several law firm management roles.
Before devoting his expertise to helping business owners monetize their businesses, Steve spent over 30 years in public accounting. Steve spent 20 of those years as a partner in a prominent St. Louis, Missouri CPA firm.
Steve brings a unique perspective to the world of business transitions. Steve was tasked with leading the assurances services practice for his CPA firm. Additionally, he has extensive experience working with business buyers on due diligence engagements for a variety of clients and in a variety of industries. He has also provided consulting services on internal control matters, provided business and individual tax planning and tax compliance as well as working on IRS matters.
It is not easy to find the right adviser to help you sell your business. The clients are often caught in the middle – too large for the typical business broker who does not have the professionalism or expertise to successfully find qualified buyers and sell the business and too small for investment bankers.
How does VBT bridge the gap? VBT applies investment banking strategies to those businesses caught in the middle. Unlike business brokers, they will not simply list your company and hope that a buyer magically appears. Instead, they will proactively work to sell your business including:
1. Preparing investment banking type marketing materials;
2. Extensively researching potential buyers;
3. Directly contacting prospective buyers;
4. Anticipating issues before they cause buyer concerns;
5. Helping you negotiate the best deal; and
6. Managing the time-consuming diligence process for you.
Their legal, tax and accounting experience, together with their extensive experience selling and otherwise advising “in the middle” businesses will help you sell your business to the best buyer at the best price on the best terms.
