Hilliker Corporation Sells Building to Alliance Francaise de St. Louis
110-year-old non-profit organization to remain in University City.
St. Louis, MO, October 08, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Hilliker Corporation, a St. Louis owned and managed commercial real estate company, recently assisted a client to sell a building to the St. Louis chapter of the Alliance Française.
The Alliance Française de St. Louis, a cultural center since 1906 and a language school for children and adults founded in 1964, recently purchased a nearly 3,500-square-foot building located at 930 N. McKnight in University City for $500,000. The Alliance Française de St. Louis will renovate the space to include classrooms, offices, and a kitchen, as well as a large library, exhibition, meeting, multi-purpose room for in-house and community events to better reach out to St. Louis’ francophone and francophile community. The Alliance Française de St. Louis will move from its current 2,000-square-foot space at 8505 Delmar Blvd. in University City to the new location in early 2017.
Since 2013, The Alliance Française de St. Louis is the regional center for DELF/DALF (Diplômes élémentaires/avancés de Langue Française), official diplomas awarded by the French Ministry of Education certifying one’s level of fluency in French. They can be used and are often required for school records, college and job applications, and immigration purposes in French-speaking countries.
The Alliance Française de St. Louis’ mission is to be recognized as the center for French language, culture and activities in the greater St. Louis area, to foster an appreciation for French language and culture, and to maintain a center which serves as a resource for individuals, universities, corporations and cultural groups to learn more about France and French-speaking countries and their peoples.
Hilliker Corporation’s Hal Ball and Brennan Gaffney represented the seller, Stephens Developments, LLC and Lee & Associate’s Stuart Wiseheart represented the buyer, 3530 Utah, LLC.
