In-Gauge of Polk County to Conduct Central Florida's First Women Only Event

Lakeland, FL, October 10, 2016 --(PR.com)-- In-Gauge of Polk County breaks the ice in Central Florida again by being the first NRA affiliated firearms training organization to conduct a nationally recognized Women On Target Shooting Clinic in Polk County.

The women only pistol shooting clinic will take place Saturday, December 3rd at the Flaming Arrow Scouting Reservation, near Lake Wales, Florida. The clinic will be a 4 hour instructional session covering:

- firearm safety,
- proper handling of a handgun,
- handgun shooting techniques,
- types and styles of handguns,
- handgun purchasing considerations,
- care and cleaning of the handgun,
- proper range etiquette – The do’s and don’ts on the range,
- 1 1/2 hours of live-fire range training.

An official NRA Women On Target firearms training certificate will be issued upon successful completion.

The sign-in process will begin at 9:30 am, with instruction beginning at 10:00 am at Saunders Hall, on the Flaming Arrow Scouting Reservation.

The cost of the Clinic is $35, which includes lunch.

All equipment and supplies, including firearms and ammunition, will be provided. Participants may provide their own handguns and ammunition.

Participation requirements: Pre-paid registration prior to November 18th. Minimum 14 years of age, with accompanying parent or legal female guardian. This is a women only event.

There are others who are conducting the minimum required concealed weapons license training. But, In-Gauge of Polk County conducts firearms training that meets and exceeds the State of Florida's training requirement for the State's concealed weapons license application process.
