Alexian Brothers Foundation Celebrates Donors at Ditkas Restaurant

Northbrook, IL, October 12, 2016 --(PR.com)-- F.E. Moran Fire Protection was honored with an award thanking the company for their cumulative giving to the Alexian Brothers Foundation. They received the award on Thursday, September 29, 2016 at Ditkas Restaurant in Arlington Heights.

This year, the Alexian Brother Foundation received $11 million in donations. The donations went to medical research, patients in need, homelessness, and mental illness among other charitable needs. This was the best year for donations in the foundation’s history.

F.E. Moran Fire Protection has been donating to the Alexian Brothers since 2011 with a cumulative donation of over $25,000.

The Foundation Board members, physicians, and donors all came together to celebrate what they have been able to accomplish. Together, they have reduced the stigma of mental illness, allowing Alexian Brothers to reach a larger population in need of mental health treatment. They have also advanced quality of care and patient safety. AMITA Health of Elk Grove Village and Hoffman Estates were in the Top Five Safest Hospitals in Illinois by Consumer Reports and top 50 hospitals in the country.

Among Alexian Brother’s accomplishments is a focus on being present in the community. Alexian Brothers has reduced illness before it happens with a focus on prevention in the community. They encourage healthy living and have specialized clinics in their community.

Awardees were humbled to receive recognition for donations. Donating to the Alexian Brothers Foundation was a choice to support community health. The pride shown by those who were recognized was clear. John Hebert received the award on behalf of F.E. Moran Fire Protection.
