Actress, Producer and Director, Lisa Pellegrene Discusses the Debut of a New Music and Dance Series: Peace, Love, Unity Dance Troupe
Lisa Pellegrene, a known international animal advocate and long term vegan, as well as a professional in TV and Film, with an additional established background as a writer and strategic consultant, debuts the first episode of her forthcoming web and corresponding TV series this fall.
New York, NY, October 11, 2016 --(PR.com)-- In addition to being an accomplished TV/Film producer, and talent in the entertainment industry, Lisa Pellegrene is planning the launch of the first episode of the Peace, Love, Unity Dance Troupe TV/Web Series, and establishes her directorial debut through this production, before the year's end. Some initial information about the production is available on imdb.com. The first episode is entitled, “Dancing in the Streets.” When discussing this in a recent interview she stated, “It is going to be high energy and exciting to inspire people, as this series is in part, to encourage people to follow their dreams and to give others the ability to clearly understand that one can do work that they love in the area of their innate abilities and talents; work hard to refine those talents and abilities and make that viable as a profession.” Many of the dancers and talent in the series are up and coming artists, according to her inspired colleagues, and others are very established music artists and dancers. She discussed her casting process and stated that sometimes she just “stumbles upon talent by talking to people who have put their passions aside so to speak, such as those she meets who think that they can't follow their dreams and do what they love, truth is, they can.” A friend in TV production stated, she reminds them by stating, if you have a passion for dance or music for example in terms of her production, and paraphrasing Lisa Pellegrene, “if you work hard, believe in yourself, keep that confidence and stay humble too, following that path well, you can do it, meaning you can do work you love, while truly inspiring oneself and others.”
Her plans for episode one, “Dancing in the Streets” include the kick off episode, a full fledged musical performance by the dancers and music artists with a full stage, and performances occurring on blocked off streets for the live music and dance performances. The general public will be invited for the live taping of the debut episode, confirmed Pellegrene. She stated, “I do plan to perhaps bring some of the audience into the spotlight, meaning include them by inviting them into the live performance if they wish to be included on a pretty spontaneous basis, if I see someone clearly enjoying the production, and well, if I discover more talent from the live audience, that is great.” She concluded, “That aspect is in and of itself exciting and fun for all, and the first episode may very well be their debut as talent!" She has not announced the specific city or town in terms of where she is launching the first episode, and stated, seemingly keeping the general public in suspense, that "this will be announced in a forthcoming news story." She has confirmed that the launch episode will be somewhere on the East Coast, and that she has chosen to also work with students who attend universities in the region, who are Communications and/or Journalism majors, or who major in the arts, namely dance and music. She will include the students where it is relevant as production support, and some as talent, as well as announcing casting calls, in addition to the talent already confirmed via the project's Imdb.com page. Additional filming locations include regions in Southern California, the New York City area, as well as others. She stated, "I want to include university students who have interest and passion for these fields of interest, to give them an opportunity that they may not have otherwise had at this stage." She continued, "there are many talented people in the world, and I want to give more of them a chance to pursue their passions and encourage their growth in the areas that they wish to pursue, areas in which they absolutely can excel if provided the opportunity and when they work hard to refine their abilities."
Peace, Love, Unity Dance Troupe TV/Web Series will include hip hop and ballet in terms of dance. Lisa Pellegrene loves hip hop. Additionally, she took ballet and jazz classes as a child. She is a fan of R&B, Soul, Reggae, Funk, Jazz, Gospel and a variety of other genres. Pellegrene plans to feature conscious hip hop artists in this forthcoming dance production. "Music inspires me, in my opinion, music takes people back to various times in their life where certain songs or certain artist's music reminds them of often happy times, the best of times, and inspires one for the present time and the future as well, at least this is what music does for me." She continued, "people have laughed when I told them, through my work as a strategic consultant, or in terms of my work as a publicist and writer for that matter, I can and do still write the most comprehensive on point work listening to the likes of Beastie Boys, Prince or LL Cool J, Indie Arie, Erykah Badu, Norah Jones, or Adele just for starters." In summary she states, "I am excited to have a forthcoming production with the focus being to inspire people and to continue to make a positive difference in the world, in case of this production, through involving music and dance."
