Gatekeeper Innovation Names Kim Box President & COO
Sacramento, CA, October 15, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Gatekeeper Innovation, Inc., a Sacramento-based company, announced that Kim Box is the President and Chief Operating Officer (COO).
Previously as a Vice President at Hewlett-Packard, Box led a $1B global organization of over 10,000 HP employees and 5,000 contractors in more than 100 locations. In entirety, Box has 29 years of experience in the high-tech industry.
Of Gatekeeper Innovation, Box says, "I am very excited about the momentum of the company. My goal is to help the company scale and grow to meet the daily increase in demand for Gatekeeper Innovation products including its flagship product Safer Lock."
Every day over 2,500 kids begin experimenting with prescription drugs. Says Box, "Safer Lock can help drive that number down. Safer Lock's mission is to make a difference with the prescription drug epidemic, a nationwide problem."
Safer Lock is a four-digit (10,000 possibilities) combination locking cap developed to prevent unauthorized access to prescription medication. Set the combination to your (the patient's) personal preference. Without knowing the combination, no one can open the prescription inside. The locking cap comes with its own bottle; it also fits a wide variety of prescription bottles.
Safer Lock also helps ensure that young children aren’t accidentally poisoned by powerful medications. Unlike childproof caps, a combination cap cannot be twisted off by a determined toddler. At the same time, Safer Lock is actually easier for seniors to twist open than a childproof cap.
Box is a speaker and author of Woven Leadership: The Power of Diversity to Transform your Organization for Success. She serves on the American River Bank Board of Directors (AMRB-NASDAQ) and the American Red Cross Capital-Region Chapter Board of Directors. She led a project to produce an Emmy-winning documentary Collision Course: Teen Addiction Epidemic. Box lives in Granite Bay, California, with her family and competes in triathlons.
