National Advisory Center Releases New Short-Term Care Insurance Consumer Video
The National Advisory Center for Short-Term Care Information released a new consumer video explaining the benefits offered from purchasing a short-term care insurance policy.
Los Angeles, CA, October 15, 2016 --(PR.com)-- A new consumer video created to heighten awareness among consumers for the benefits available from short-term care insurance was made public today by the National Advisory Center for Short-Term Care Information.
"Short-term care insurance can be a very viable and affordable option for individuals looking to plan for the very real risk of needing long-term care one day," states Jesse Slome, director of the Advisory Center. "It can also fill some gaps in Medicare coverage that potentially can cost seniors thousands of dollars."
The new video, the second made public this year is designed to be a basic primer in the benefits of short-term care insurance. "Many have heard about long-term care insurance and traditional policies are great but what if you cannot afford that level of coverage, or your cannot meet the health qualifications or you are too old to apply," Slome asks. "When cost, age or health is an issue, a short-term care insurance policy can be a very viable alternative."
"Unfortunately, few people have ever heard of short-term care insurance and too few insurance agents talk about it," Slome adds. The long-term care insurance expert, Slome advocates what he refers to as a 'Good, Better, Best approach' to helping consumers explore their long-term care planning options.
Some 41 percent of long-term care insurance claims Slome points out referring to a recent report published by the American Association for Long-Term Care Insurance. "A short-term care insurance policy which can provide generally up to one year of benefits can be suitable for many and certainly far more affordable," Slome notes.
Copies of the video will be made available to insurance professionals. "We hope to see thousands of agents using the video to educate their clients and prospects," Slome hopes.
