The live Mission Seed Funding Contest Finale event will be reminiscent of the popular TV show Shark Tank1. The contest finalists will present their projects to a panel of judges, who will critique and evaluate each project presentation. It will be an evening of fun, entertainment and above all a great opportunity to support some exciting mission and service projects. If you are in the Portland, Oregon area, you might have already heard about the contest on Christian radio stations The FISH and KPDQ.
The Mission Seed Funding Contest Finale will also feature Jaime Saint of Indigenous People's Technology and Education Center (I-TEC) as the keynote speaker. Jaime is the grandson of the late missionary pilot Nate Saint, who was murdered in Ecuador; and the son of Steve Saint, who founded I-TEC. I-TEC engages missions with tools and technology to help meet the needs of the people and to show God’s love in and through it.
Mission Seed Fund is an online platform to showcase, discover, and fund mission and service projects around the world. From its inception in 2013, Mission Seed Fund has been committed to fill the gap between people who work on great causes and people who want to support great causes.
The platform was designed to make raising support easier and more fun. Its shopping-cart style design and PayPal feature provide gratification to contributor and recipient alike. Users can post multiple projects and create separate need lists with specific funding goals for each project.
Mission Seed Fund believes that mission/service projects are more than just going on trips and doing charity work; they are about fostering relationships, exchanging skills and working in partnership with project creators, donors and those who are on the receiving end.
