Underground at Historic Smithville to Host Zombie Walk
Local shoppe #92 at Historic Smithville, NJ, to host annual Halloween Zombie Walk 2016. Local surf rock bands from Philly and Asbury Park will be performing, and there will be cash prizes. Runs from 10 AM to 7 PM.
East Hanover, NJ, October 18, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Anchors To Dusk is calling all you undead creatures and night walkers.
On October 29 (rain date: October 30), shoppe #92 – otherwise known as Underground – is hosting the 2016 Zombie Walk. Mike and Lucy Spagnola, owners of the rad Underground store, will be your undead hosts for the evening.
A full day of gruesome fun is planned. Here’s what goers need to know if attending:
From 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM are the haunting hours. At 6:00 PM, the actual zombie walk will take place around the village itself, and the dead will rise again. Boutique vendors will be participating in the event throughout the day as well.
At 2:00 PM, Philly’s own Primitive Finks will be performing live, and at 3:00 PM, Asbury Park’s own surf rock group, Black Flamingos, will be performing for the crowd as well.
Also at 2:00 PM, there will be a zombie pinup contest, with $100.00 cash prize on the line for best costume. Be sure to participate if there is time.
If one isn't fully prepared with a costume or are pressed for time, don’t worry; bring $6.00 cash, and get transformed in a jiffy in front of Underground at the makeup station.
After the walk is over, Underground will also host a “Raffle of the Living Dead.” Anyone in costume can get a free raffle ticket at the shoppe if they’d like to participate.
This isn’t your mama’s zombie walk.
