Furniture Sharehouse & Ethan Allen Hartsdale Announce the #PowerOf10 Anniversary Vignette
Ethan Allen Hartsdale is donating an entire living room suite of new stylish furniture for their vignette; items in this vignette have a retail value in excess of $10,000. Vignette to be sold at bi-annual gala for Furniture Sharehouse on October 28th which is a fundraising event to provide free furniture to local families in need.
Westchester County, NY, October 18, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Furniture Sharehouse, Westchester’s Furniture Bank, and Ethan Allen Hartsdale announce that a team from the design center is creating a special vignette of stylish living room furniture to honor Furniture Sharehouse’s 10th year of furnishing local Westchester families in need.
This #PowerOf10 Anniversary vignette will include a sofa, 2 arm chairs, coffee and side tables, art work, lamp, and an area rug. The design team behind this vignette are Kathy Vigoda, Ryan Mary Flaherty, and Amani Thorpe-Lee. Items in this special vignette, which has an estimated retail value of over $10,000, have been donated and will be available for individual bids during the silent auction.
David Connolly, a partner in W.L. Landau, an authorized Ethan Allen retailer in Hartsdale, explains why his team contributed their time and talents to creating this vignette, “We have been a great supporter of Furniture Sharehouse since the first time we heard about it. Our Company spends every day helping people put together functional environments that provide a high level of comfort and beauty for their lives. We had taken it for granted that in an affluent area like Westchester the basics of shelter had already been covered for everyone. The Furniture Sharehouse enlightened us on that point. Now when our customers ask what they should do with furniture that they are replacing we know who to direct them to. Obviously we believe everyone deserves a home that is safe, comfortable and full of love. We do our part and for ten years now, the Furniture Sharehouse has admirably done theirs.”

Furniture Sharehouse will host its ‘Power of 10’ Gala on Friday, October 28th, 2016 at 6:30 pm at the Mamaroneck Beach and Yacht Club. The gala will have two honorees: original member agency Westhab, Inc. which is being recognized for its partnership and support over the last ten years; and Dave Vitullo of D & L Associates who is being honored as ‘Mover of the Decade’.
Guests will enjoy an open bar, a sumptuous buffet dinner, and dessert bar. Master of Ceremonies will be Bruce Figler, a popular radio host on 107.1 the Peak and long-time supporter of Furniture Sharehouse. In addition to Ethan Allen Hartsdale’s #PowerOf10 Anniversary vignette, the Gala will also showcase Furniture Sharehouse’s fabulous signature Designer Vignettes staged by prominent designers using donated one-of-a-kind furniture pieces and decorative accents as part of the evening’s Silent Auction. Also new this year is The Boutique which will feature high-end decorative accessories, some of which have been donated by Ethan Allen Hartsdale.
Since 2007, Furniture Sharehouse has distributed over 57,000 items to more than 10,000 individuals in need from their warehouse located at Westchester County Airport. Furniture Sharehouse addresses a critical and growing need in Westchester County by providing free furniture to those moving out of homeless shelters into apartments as well as to other economically challenged individuals and families that do not have funds for furnishings.
