American Law Society Recognizes C.C. Colin Abbott

New York, NY, October 20, 2016 --(PR.com)-- The American Law Society Board of Directors is proud to announce that C.C.
Colin Abbott has been accepted as a new member.

Abbott, Licensed Attorney and Certified Mediator by the Florida Supreme Court, and Licensed Attorney by the DC Court of Appeals, has a proven track record of success assisting clients from over 140 countries in the United States and Canada since 2005. Abbott’s superior qualifications and leadership in the area of Immigration Law has named him Top 100 Lawyers in Central Florida by The National Advocates (2015).

Colin holds both a Canadian law degree (LL.B.) and American law degree (J.D.), and the scope of his work includes written and oral submissions to agencies, departments, commissions as well as Federal and State/Provincial Counts. With expertise in Thai, Indian, Filipino, Chinese, and Vietnamese, Abbott is widely recognized. His 2015 published work, "Immigration: Conditional Permanent Residency Based on Marriage” has been cited by Avvo, and Catholic Legal Immigration Law, Inc.’s Immigration Law training manual.

Abbott has advocated to USCIS for Applications for Nonimmigrant Visas for Human Trafficking Victims (T Visas), Visas for Victims of Crime (U Visas), and immigration benefits under VAWA protection, and he’s represented clients to ICE, DOJ, IJ, CBP, and USCIS (previously INS) in areas including, but not limited to, deportation, labor certification, travel documentation, temporary visas, removal of conditional residency, and waivers of inadmissibility. Abbott has also filed asylum packages based on political persecution, religious persecution, racial persecution, and membership in a social group.

Furthermore, Abbott has the capacity to assist in farmworker communities. He previously worked at Florida Rural Legal Services, Inc.’s Migrant Farmworker Unit, a law firm that serves farmworkers throughout Florida.

In addition, Abbott has been a member of the Sports Lawyers Association since 2015, and offers assistance to retired NHL players seeking secure immigration benefits.
