Queenstown Public House Brings Life-Sized Gingerbread House Back for the Holidays

San Diego, CA, October 22, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Queenstown Public House, a New Zealand-inspired restaurant and bar located in San Diego’s Little Italy, will once again transform the exterior of the restaurant into a charming, real-life gingerbread house with frosting around the windows and adorn the well-known and comforting venue with chocolate kisses, lollipops, lights, candy canes and more. The interior will be converted into a dazzling Christmas wonderland to bring holiday cheer to San Diego. In addition to the gingerbread house dreamland transformation, Queenstown Public House will host a gingerbread house contest on Tuesday, Dec. 20.

“We’re excited to be bringing back our life-size gingerbread house this holiday season,” said Queenstown Public House partner, Darren Roach. “We were so shocked at how much it meant to the neighborhood that we really went all out for the holiday season. So we’re bringing back that sense of celebration, comfort and cheer to the Little Italy community.”

Queenstown Public House will provide a gingerbread house kit in exchange for a donated, unwrapped gift for New Alternative’s Little Italy Toy Drive from December 1st – 20th. On December 20, Queenstown will host its “Kid at Heart” gingerbread house decorating party from 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.. The winner of the kids contest will win tickets to Lego Land and the adult winner will win a grand prize gift basket.

“Queenstown is a comfortable, family and pet friendly place and we plan to transform into a holiday hotspot, where residents and visitors alike can celebrate the holidays together while giving back to the community,” said Roach.

Queenstown Public House will also give every child a gingerbread man kit to carry on the holiday spirit while dinning in a life-sized gingerbread house for the whole month of December.
