Inaugural Lyrics for Lucas Benefit Concert in Support of SUDC Research to Take Place at Starland Ballroom in New Jersey

Sayreville, NJ, October 24, 2016 --(PR.com)-- On Wednesday, October 26, 2016, the Lyrics for Lucas Foundation, in conjunction with the SUDC Foundation, will be hosting the inaugural Lyrics for Lucas Benefit Concert at the Starland Ballroom in Sayreville, New Jersey. The event will be hosted by Rob Bartlett of the IMUS in the Morning Radio Show and will feature live music from Glen Burtnik and the Weeklings as well as special guests Split Decision and Moondoggie. The evening will also include a silent auction. Doors open at 7pm and tickets for the event are $25 (tickets can be purchased using the link below).

Lyrics for Lucas was created in loving memory of Lucas DiGuilio, son of Maria and Al DiGuilio, VP of Eneractive Solutions. Lucas tragically passed away at the age of 22 months; his cause of death was ruled Sudden Unexplained Death in Childhood (SUDC). SUDC is the sudden and unexplained death of a child over the age of 12 months. To this day, there is still little known about the underlying cause of SUDC. Upon learning the diagnosis, Al and Maria found the SUDC Foundation. The SUDC Foundation is a 501(c)3 organization based in New Jersey whose mission is to provide support to families and professionals affected by SUDC, while also advocating awareness of SUDC research in communities worldwide.

Recognizing the importance of providing additional support to this cause, Al and Maria created the Lyrics for Lucas Foundation in order to, “raise more awareness of SUDC, support further research and to hopefully help develop a future in which SUDC no longer exists.” For this reason, the Lyrics for Lucas Foundation has teamed up with the SUDC Foundation in order to create this inaugural event which not only draws attention to SUDC, but whose proceeds will also provide monetary support to SUDC research, SUDC Families and Community Outreach.
