HPI is Acquiring pgmc & company Asia Pacific to Form HPI Asia Pacific

Shanghai, China, January 26, 2008 --(PR.com)-- pgmc & company Asia Pacific, a well-established procurement consultancy in China and previously one of the international subsidiaries of pgmc & company (Germany), is being acquired by HPI (Germany), a member of the eprolog group, to form HPI Asia Pacific.

This acquisition combines pgmc & company Asia Pacific’s global sourcing expertise in the Asia Pacific region with HPI’s position as one of the largest independent procurement service providers in Europe with a yearly managed spend of nearly €5 billion, 4,000 negotiated contracts, and over 200 clients.

HPI Asia Pacific will broaden the portfolio of services previously offered from China to provide international clients the complete range of strategic and operative procurement services from sourcing to procurement outsourcing. For domestically-situated companies, HPI Asia Pacific offers procurement optimization services (including supplier localization and supplier development), procurement BPO, MRO services, catalogue management, and industry training for local procurement professionals.
