Friday, November 4th marks the two-year anniversary of Second Star to the Right Children’s Books, a locally-owned book and toy store, and you’re invited to celebrate their birthday. Join Second Star staff for a fun-filled, family-friendly evening of giveaways, raffles, cake and much more. In addition, local musicians will be joining the store for a neighborhood Disney sing-a-long.

Second Star was recently named as Denver’s Best Bookstore in 2016 by the Denver A-List. The shop is located on Tennyson Street, one of Denver’s most vibrant and quickly growing neighborhoods. Second Star offers a wide-range of children and family-friendly activities, including daily story time, an American Girl book club, tutoring, author events and children’s yoga.

Second Star has been deeply involved with the local community since its inception two years ago. It works closely with several community non-profits and organizations, including A Precious Child. The shop is owned by the husband and wife team of Marc and Dea Lavoie, who served as Denver elementary school teachers for 11 years.
