Maslow CNC’s 4 by 8 Foot CNC Machine Launches on Kickstarter

Port Townsend, WA, October 28, 2016 --(PR.com)-- The Maslow CNC Team launched its 2nd Kickstarter Campaign on Tuesday, October 25th for a 4 by 8 foot CNC cutting machine, available for less than $500. The campaign exceeded its crowdfunding goal of $50,000 within the first 3 hours of the campaign. The team will now be able to produce a first official run of these machines, which will allow anyone to cut anything they can think of that is made of wood: from boats to art projects, to entire houses. This team of three is bringing the project to life out of Portland, OR and Santa Cruz, CA, the latter being where they successfully launched and fulfilled their Makesmith CNC Kickstarter campaign back in 2014.

The Maslow CNC is a revolutionary design in the world of CNC, or computer numerical control. Never before has a CNC machine of this size been designed at a price point remotely close to $500. Additionally, the Maslow has an upright design with a width of only 19 inches, providing the owner the ability to store and operate the machine in a home garage, while still having the ability to park a car inside. To top it off, the kit will fit and ship in a USPS medium flat rate box. Upon arrival, the project supporter will be provided with detailed instructional videos on how to assemble the Maslow at home.

You can support the Maslow CNC project by visiting www.MaslowCNC.com or finding them on Kickstarter. You can pledge for the Beta version of the machine for $550 or the regular version for $350, which should ship to backers in February and May of 2017, respectively. If you’re not looking to own one for yourself, you can pledge an amount of your choice to support the concept, or you can back the project at $25 to cover the cost of shipping a free Maslow CNC to an educational institution. Bar Smith, the founder, adds, “We have a vision of making this tool as accessible as possible to anyone in the world, and for that reason we will donate one machine for every 20 purchased to any educational institution that is nominated during one of our contests while the Kickstarter campaign is live.”

Back the Maslow CNC Kickstarter project at www.MaslowCNC.com before the campaign ends on Tuesday, November 22nd.
