Canada, Italy, UK and NATO to Discuss Networked Warfare Collaborations in Rome

Canadian Army joins the speaker panel for Network Enabled Capability Technology 2017 in Rome.

London, United Kingdom, October 28, 2016 --(PR.com)-- As North America continues to hold a dominant market share of the netcentric warfare market, SMi Group has confirmed that that Colonel Sean Sullivan, Director Land Command Information / G6 of the Canadian Army, has joined the speaker line-up for its launch conference on Network Enabled Capability Technology.

The event will take place on the 1st and 2nd of February in Rome, with aims to enable participants to help shape, develop and deliver digitization of information, equipment and maximize operational and common logistics platforms throughout the land domain.

Against this backdrop, Colonel Sullivan will be presenting a keynote address which focusses on collaborations Entitled “Networked Warfare – Enabling Adaptive Dispersed Operations”, his presentation will address:
· connecting decision makers across the battlespace;
· increasing speed of mission execution through collaboration and shared situational awareness; and
· modernizing the Canadian Army’s Land Command Support System

The conference will also explore updates of the Italian Army’s Forza NEC programme as its "Concept Developing & Experimentation" phase nears completion in 2020. Participants can expect presentations from esteemed Commander of the Italian Army Training and Doctrine Command, Lieutenant General Giorgio Battisti, as well as high-level senior representatives from the Italian Armed Forces.

Featured speakers also include high-level military officers from NATO, SHAPE, US EUCOM, Greece, Netherlands and Norway, technical program directors from the UK Ministry of Defence, and key industry players including Radionor. The panel will deliberate how various network enabled capability programmes can impact operational effectiveness and help optimise the future of tactical warfare. In addition, programme managers will also discuss requirements and updates for key programmes.
