Janssen Explores How to Embed Social Media Into Multi-Channel Campaigns
Janssen Digital and Multi-channel Marketing Manager joins speaker lineup for Social Media in the Pharmaceutical Industry in London.
London, United Kingdom, October 28, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Piotr Wrzosinski, Digital and Multichannel Marketing Manager at Janssen joins the speaker lineup for SMi’s 9th Social Media in the Pharmaceutical Industry conference. The event takes place on the 18th and 19th of January 2017 in London.
Focusing on the multi-platform customer journey within the UK market, Piotr will be presenting about the hard lessons and opportunities surrounding the integration of social media into campaigns.
In a recent interview with SMi Group, Piotr commented on the developments and challenges surrounding social media in the pharmaceutical sector, “From my perspective I can see the change in the attitude towards social media in pharma. It is no longer terra incognita or forbidden zone. We can see a lot of activities driven by patient advocacy groups (who did not see the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge?), we know that the medical community engages around big events and we know that patients are discussing their conditions in social media.”
“On the other hand we are very limited in the ways we engage in social media because the line between engagement and promotional activity is blurred. It is very difficult to set the social media activity that would reach only healthcare professionals, so we can rarely see anything that goes above disease awareness or lifestyle campaigns.”
When asked about how he sees the future of social media in the sector, he said “Social media is now the most important internet experience for many users. Health is already big topic in social media and with the rise of Quantitative Self we can only expect this to grow. Peers’ recommendations are more persuasive and engaging than a search for "company X website". Taking all this into account it is clear that the industry is forced to listen and engage in social media.”
The full interview with Piotr is available to view in the Download Centre at www.social-media-pharma.com/prcom.
Piotr joins a speaker line-up of senior healthcare marketers and brand managers who will lead presentations and workshops that will strengthen your knowledge in key topics such as social listening, pharmacovigilance, web content, digital analytics, patient advocacy, mobile apps, plus much more.
