Medicare Supplement Insurance Association Video Promotes Agent Directory

Los Angeles, CA, October 30, 2016 --(PR.com)-- To help consumers seeking information and cost comparisons for Medicare Supplement insurance, the American Association for Medicare Supplement Insurance offers free access to an online directory of local professionals.

"Many consumers want to meet face-to-face with a local Medicare Supplement agent who can educate them and help them get the best coverage," explains Jesse Slome, director of the American Association for Medicare Supplement Insurance. "Our directory provides consumers with the ability to find local professionals without having to provide any sign-in personal information."

The Association's Find An Agent online directory was started on a test basis in 2015 and has been slowly expanded by the Association. "We don't sell Medicare Supplement insurance and we simply could not keep up with the growing volume of calls from consumers," Slome explained. The Association plans to continue expanding the directory after Medicare Open Enrollment ends in December.

"Every day 10,000 Americans turn 65 and become eligible for Medicare," Slome cites. "Some 12 million already have Medicare Supplement insurance to cover those costs not paid for by original Medicare, and the number keeps growing."

The Association produces the national Medicare Supplement Insurance Conference, the annual gathering for industry professionals. The 2017 Summit will take place April 11-13 in Dallas, Texas. Over 500 professionals representing individuals who market, sell, price, administer and underwriter Medigap policies attend.
