Ad Council Media Commitment from PDN TV
$1.2 Million Media Pledge to the Ad Council by PDN TV for 2008.
Burbank, CA, January 26, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Ad Council Announces Upfront Media Commitment for 2008 Totaling $1,220,000.00 Secured from Private Dental Network (PDN-TV).
The Advertising Council announced today that Private Dental Network (PDN-TV) has committed to donate $1,220,000.00 in advertising time for the Ad Council’s public service advertising (PSA) campaigns in the upcoming year.
“On behalf of the Ad Council and the Americans who benefit from our critical messages, I am grateful to Private Dental Network for recognizing the importance of our PSAs and coming forward with this generous commitment,” according to Peggy Conlon, President and CEO of the Ad Council.
Since 1942, the Ad Council has been the largest producer of PSAs in the country, with its approximately 50 current PSA campaigns addressing significant social issues. The Private Dental Network’s donated advertising time will support PSAs addressing a wide range of issues in the areas of community, education and health and safety.
“PDN’s healthy lifestyle content and patient education programming will be complemented by the outstanding production value and sincere social messages delivered to our audience by the Ad Council,” said PDN-TV CEO Matthew Berriman.
All of the Ad Council’s PSAs, across all media, are run and aired in advertising time and space that is donated by the media. In a move that broke from the Ad Council’s traditional outreach model, the organization began securing upfront commitments from the media in 2004. The organization received a record-breaking $2 billion in donated advertising time and spaces for its campaigns during fiscal year 2007.
