WhoKnows Announces David Gilmour as Chief Technology Officer
Redwood City, CA, November 08, 2016 --(PR.com)-- WhoKnows is pleased to announce David Gilmour has joined the company as Chief Technology Officer and will lead the company’s technology vision and development of its next generation talent analytics solutions.

Gilmour brings a twenty-five year career as a successful high technology entrepreneur, executive, and board member. He most recently served as Senior Vice President, Collaboration Technology, for Oracle Corporation, following Oracle’s acquisition of Tacit Software Inc., a venture-backed software company that Gilmour founded in 1997 and where he served as President and CEO. Gilmour was previously the co-founder and Chief Research Officer of Giga Information Group, a leading provider of proprietary research on Information Technology. Earlier, Gilmour held executive positions at Versant Object Technology and Lotus Development Corporation, where he served as General Manager of the Advanced Products Division.
Gilmour holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and Applied Physics from Harvard College, a Masters Degree in Engineering from Harvard’s Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, and a Master in Business Administration degree with distinction from Harvard Business School. He is an active investor and advisor to high technology startup ventures on both coasts. Gilmour is an avid cyclist, musician, and licensed airline pilot. He is also a prolific inventor with numerous issued patents related to machine learning, natural language processing, privacy and security. Gilmour is actively involved in a variety of nonprofit organizations including Harvard University, where he serves as a leader of the $6.5B capital campaign currently underway and chairman of the campaign’s strategy committee for Harvard’s School of Engineering and Applied Sciences.
