PlaneSense Inc. Looks to Top Last Year’s 7,000-Pound Donation of Food

Portsmouth, NH, November 13, 2016 --(PR.com)-- PlaneSense Inc. one of the nation’s largest fractional aircraft ownership companies is challenging their Pease International Tradeport neighbors to help feed thousands of New Hampshire residents this winter while serving as the collection point for the area. Last year, the company collected and delivered - some by plane - more than 7,000 pounds of donated food and household items to the New Hampshire Food Bank in Manchester. PlaneSense President and CEO George Antoniadis will deliver a portion of the donation by aircraft on December 14.

The Pease Tradeport is home to about 250 companies that employ 10,000 people. Local businesses and individuals with nonperishable items may drop donations off at PlaneSense, 115 Flightline Road in Portsmouth by December 9. The PlaneSense team will help load the cargo on December 13 and Antoniadis will pilot a Pilatus PC-12 aircraft on December 14 that will be stuffed with donated food and flown to the Manchester-Boston Regional Airport. This marks the third year that PlanseSense has led the Pease food drive and that Antoniadis has piloted a fully loaded Pilatus PC-12 and personally delivered donations.

“Our annual New Hampshire Food Bank fundraiser is a meaningful way for us to help our neighbors and families in need,” said Antoniadis. “This year, we want to demonstrate the collective power of our community partners and surpass last year’s donations that provided more than 5,800 meals to New Hampshire families.”

An estimated 41,350 children and one of every nine adults in New Hampshire lack reliable access to healthy and affordable food. Through more than 400 community partnerships, food drives and education programs, the New Hampshire Food Bank provides hunger relief to the thousands of people suffering from food insecurity every year.

This November, the NH Food Bank has specifically requested canned vegetables, along with other “most-needed” items, which include: canned chicken, tuna, salmon, soup, beans and nuts, peanut butter, jelly, macaroni and cheese, dried beans, rice and rice mixes, pasta, and noodle mixes.

Donations may be dropped off at PlaneSense at the main entrance Monday through Friday, between 9 am and 5 pm. To coordinate deliveries at other times or make arrangements for a large delivery, please contact achamberlain@planesense.com or 603-501-7759.
