Alfredda Smith-Odato Joins RE/MAX Platinum Realty

Sarasota, FL, November 15, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Broker-Associate Alfredda "Fred" Smith-Odato has joined the Sarasota, Florida, office of RE/MAX Platinum Realty.

Focusing on residential real estate including second homes and new homes, Fred has 15 years of local real estate experience. Her unrelenting passion for a career in real estate inspired her to earn nearly every certification and designation available, including obtaining her broker’s license.

Fred combines her love of Florida real estate with her background in international relations. She started in the import-export business, where she frequently interacted with foreign nationals and became an expert in the intricate duty free and customs laws while selling to the Diplomatic Corp in Washington D.C. and the United Nations in New York while leading an eight-person team. She also has experience as an entrepreneur, owning and operating a successful Mail Boxes, Etc. franchise and her own real estate firm, Suncoast Global Real Estate, LLC.

A native of Baltimore, Fred attended the University of Maryland, then moved to the Annapolis area for 10 years. She has been visiting the Gulf Coast of Florida since 1998 and relocated to the area to become a Realtor in 2002. She has been active in the Women's Council of Realtors® since 2009 and currently serves as President for the Sarasota Network. In 2017 she will be the Women’s Council of Realtors® District Vice President for District 5. She has been on the Florida Realtors Board of Directors since 2014 and is active in the Realtor Association of Sarasota and Manatee. She was the District Vice President of the CRS Florida Chapter District 13 from 2013 to 2014. A veteran boater, she also volunteers with the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary.
