Belmont County Tourism Council Wins Two MIDDY Awards
Belmont County Tourism Council has earned recognition for print and social media advertising with first place wins in MIDDY Awards.
St. Clairsville, OH, November 17, 2016 --(PR.com)-- The Belmont County Tourism Council has been recognized for excellence in tourism advertising with two MIDDY Awards. Awards were presented at the Ohio Association of Convention & Visitors Bureaus’ (OACVB) 19th Annual Awards of Excellence.
Belmont County Tourism received two first place awards, one for Advertisement - Leisure (Print) and one for Social Media Campaign – Facebook. Barb Ballint, Assistant Director of Belmont County Tourism Council and her team were thrilled to receive such honors. “Many outstanding marketing campaigns were submitted. Receiving these awards for a job well-done is a high achievement. Thank you to all of the judges on the panel for their recognition of our work.”
Ballint said that the Belmont County Tourism Council contracted advertising agency, Beyond Spots & Dots in early 2016 to increase awareness of County attractions and happenings. With the agency’s assistance, Belmont County Tourism Council executed a full marketing campaign inclusive of a logo and website redesign, social media management/advertising, print advertising and internet advertising. “The office has seen an increase of location, event and attraction inquiries. Chairpersons of events throughout the county have shared that they have witnessed an increase of attendance to their events. This is definitely a direct result of this marketing campaign,” said Ballint.
