WorkCast Streams Full CBI Conference Coverage Live to Thousands of Members
Europe's leading webinar specialist WorkCast provides live and on-demand coverage of one of the biggest events in the business calendar.
London, United Kingdom, November 22, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Live streaming of all key speakers and presentations at the CBI’s Annual Conference today (21 NOV) is being provided by webinar specialist WorkCast.
The software company has sent a team to the flagship event in London to deliver both live and on-demand coverage to the many thousands of CBI members unable to attend in person.
Full coverage is available through the CBI website at www.cbi.org.uk.
It is the fourth consecutive year that Sunderland-based WorkCast has been asked by the leading business lobby organisation to stream the conference and make it available online to the 190,000 firms that it represents.
“By live streaming our flagship event in partnership with WorkCast we are able to significantly expand our reach to engage a wider business audience, across the UK and internationally,” said Mark Hadley, CBI Director of Media Communications.
“We value the level of support that WorkCast provide in making our online event a success.”
WorkCast is working on site at the one-day conference at Grosvenor House, to ensure speakers including Facebook EMEA vice president Nicola Mendelsohn and Sir Martin Sorrell, WPP group chief executive, can be watched live over the internet and afterwards through on-demand replays.
The online event pages have been created with a “lobby” where attendees can view the different presentations taking place over the course of the day and decide who they want to watch at any given time.
WorkCast webcast coordinator Rob Lyndsell said, “A lot of work is done in the office prior to being on site. We have a multiple set up with a lobby, which contains all the sessions throughout day and gives people a much more bite size approach to what they are viewing.
“When live sessions end the video content is transcoded and uploaded to the platform so viewers can then watch it on demand at their leisure.”
