UK IT Industry Awards Finalists for Data Migration Success
JMR Software (JMR) was shortlisted with the Wesleyan team for "IT Project Team of the Year."
Chinnor, United Kingdom, November 25, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Following the successful completion of a large scale data migration project for Wesleyan Assurance Society, JMR Software (JMR) is celebrating a further triumph. The independent IT specialist was shortlisted with the Wesleyan team for "IT Project Team of the Year" at the prestigious UK IT Industry Awards for its role in the legacy transformation programme.
As a key strategic partner, JMR was entrusted with migrating the mutual society complex policy structure from five legacy systems to a single, consolidated Sapiens Closed Book platform. JMR has a strong track record and a 100% success rate in delivering complex data migration projects on time and within budget. The five data migrations have been delivered across a 24-month period and delivered using JMR’s robust BITSHIFT framework; a unique approach designed to mitigate business risk while allowing maximum flexibility around day-to-day operations.
“JMR Software offered a fully comprehensive data migration service and had the experience and expertise to deal with our multiple requirements. The reconciliation functionality in their BITSHIFT application provided us with far greater visibility of our data in flight - and at every stage - which helped to significantly reduce overall project risks,” commented Simon Bett, IT Technical Manager at Wesleyan Assurance Society.
The expertise of the team, combined with BITSHIFT, JMR’s automated technology-agnostic data migration solution, seamlessly managed the introduction of 90 different product types and the movement of 1.4 million policies into one modern, supportable system. As a result, Wesleyan was able to free up valuable resources and so achieve significant cost savings, improve workplace efficiency and further enhance customer service levels.
“We are delighted with the outcome of this project – not only in terms of being finalists in the awards, but also the fact that Wesleyan has already extended the scope of the original brief. A sixth project, comprising of 3 separate Trust migrations, is scheduled to begin this month with completion expected by March 2018.
“This move not only demonstrates great confidence in our end-to-end service, but also recognises the commercial benefits of further simplifying policy administration processes; cutting overheads and firmly positioning the company for continued growth,” adds Barry MacDougall, Service Delivery Manager for JMR Software.
Established in 1987, JMR Software (JMR) provides customised software solutions, mobile applications and specialist IT resources to the global financial services sector.
