Family Emergency Shelter to Receive Tech Donation on Giving Tuesday
The Electronic Recycling Association to present 11 computers to Calgary’s Inn from the Cold.
Calgary, Canada, November 25, 2016 --(PR.com)-- The Electronic Recycling Association (ERA) will be presenting Inn from the Cold with a donation of 11 computers on November 29th, which is Giving Tuesday. Giving Tuesday is a nation-wide initiative that promotes giving-back on the Tuesday immediately following the consumer sales and material focus of Black Friday and Cyber Monday.
“We are extremely excited to present Inn from the Cold with this donation on Giving Tuesday. Their service is essential for people who have been unable to find help anywhere else,” says Bojan Paduh, founder and president of ERA. “This is one of five donations we will make on the 29th, totalling nearly 60 computers across five cities. It is so important going into the holidays to remember that there are lots of people struggling right now, and Giving Tuesday is a really positive reminder and great platform through which we can give back.”
Open 24/7, Inn from the Cold acts as an agency of last resort for children and families with nowhere else to go and they turn no family away.
"We are thrilled with this generous donation of high quality desktop computers from the Electronic Recycling Association,” said Lynn Cox, resource development & communications manager at Inn from the Cold. “Gift in kind donations that contribute to our operations are extremely helpful and allow us to channel more of our resources to critical needs to support homeless children and their families in Calgary."
