Jacobs Law Group Litigator Acts as Judge in Villanova Law Moot Court

Corporate litigator Neal A. Jacobs volunteered as judge in law school program.

Philadelphia, PA, November 30, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Neal A. Jacobs, managing partner of Philadelphia law firm Jacobs Law Group, volunteered as a judge in the 57th annual Theodore L. Reimel Moot Court competition at the Villanova Charles Widger School of Law.

The Reimel Competition is an annual intra-school competition aiming to showcase the appellate advocacy skills of the participants. This year’s competition focused on a family law case in which the embryos of a divorced couple were in question. Teams of two students were required to write briefs on one side of the issue but encouraged to argue both sides at the competition. The Moot Court Board at Villanova is the primary oral advocacy organization at the law school and is ranked 34th nationally.

“I enjoyed hearing the students’ arguments and being involved in the program,” said Jacobs. “I was impressed by their insights in this complex case.”

Jacobs has been the managing partner of the Jacobs Law Group since its founding in 1999. His practice is focused on complex corporate, business and litigation matters. He devotes particular attention to privately held companies and their shareholder and member relations.

Jacobs focuses on complex corporate matters involving the interplay of the rights and obligations of management and the various classes of equity holders and lenders and others.
