The International Davey Awards Attacks Brexit; Mickael Korvin Wins 2016 Silver for #TheBrightSideOfBrexit
The winner of The Silver 2016 Social Media Davey Award, announced today, is none other than #TheBrightSideOfBrexit, an extremely funny anti-Brexit thread on Twitter (twitter.com/hashtag/TheBrightSideOfBrexit). Written by Franco-American novelist Mickael Korvin, these tweets find the tiniest positive side to what Korvin (alias @twitersavior) views as an overall very bad decision.
New York, NY, December 01, 2016 --(PR.com)-- Despite the fact that the UK voted for Brexit, the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts didn't, quite the contrary, my dear! The winner of The Silver 2016 Social Media Davey Award, announced today, is none other than #TheBrightSideOfBrexit, a humoristically anti-Brexit thread on Twitter twitter.com/hashtag/TheBrightSideOfBrexit. Written by Franco-American novelist Mickael Korvin, these tweets find the tiniest positive side to what Korvin (alias @twitersavior) views as an overall very bad decision. In 2015 Korvin had already won a first Silver Davey, and was honored by the Webby Awards, for yet another fun hashtag #AMessageToTheMartians (which is still running daily on Twitter). Korvin also does all the photography for his tweets. In France, he is a ten-time published novelist who is controversial, because of his fight to simplify the language, and a regular contributor to newsmagazine L'Express.fr. In November at Legend Galleries, he exposed his collection of positive homeless signs, called "Signs of Hope" to the benefit of the Bethesda Project in Philadelphia.
