Big Romance, Tiny Effort: A Seattle Company Makes It Easier to Woo Your Sweetheart This Valentine’s
Seattle, WA, January 29, 2008 --(PR.com)-- A new Seattle company launches an online solution to help thoughtful yet time-challenged romantics send “sweet nothings” just in time for Valentine’s Day. The recently launched GreetQ.com, a web-based greeting card service, combines the convenience of online shopping with a task usually reserved for those with heaps of time - sending personalized greeting cards.
At GreetQ.com, the company carries a variety of romantic greeting cards which can be personalized directly online. Shoppers enter their contacts with addresses on the website then customize their cards by adding a personal note; GreetQ will then mail the personalized card to whomever the customer wants just in time for the big day.
With Valentine’s Day fast approaching, the risk of missing an opportunity to “lock in” a new paramour just in time for a spring romance is also looming. “After the holidays, it takes a while to settle back into a normal, less-hectic schedule,” says GreetQ.com cofounder Jennifer Taylor. “Valentine’s is one of those holidays that just creeps up on us; both guys and gals alike often end of scrambling to the store on February 13th to pour over piles of stale chocolate and leftover greeting cards.” GreetQ.com gives even the busiest suitors a chance to get a little love note in the mail and get it there on time.
The company name, GreetQ, comes from the company’s unique greeting card queuing service. As shoppers buy and schedule cards for upcoming events and holidays, the list of scheduled cards can then be easily managed online in a “card queue,” similar to the Netflix queue for managing DVDs. “The point of the site is to give you one less thing to do. If you don’t have to drive to the store to buy a card, you’ll have more time to say make dinner for you honey!” says Taylor. “The queue concept lets you take care of this task for the entire year if you want. While shoppers are scheduling cards for Valentine’s, they can take care of Mother’s Day, Father’s Day and even Christmas while they’re at it.”
As for the cards, GreetQ does not carry your traditional fare found in the supermarket. “All of our cards are carefully chosen from the best independent card designers in the industry” says Taylor. GreetQ carries high-quality designs like stylish letterpress from Deluce Designs and Elum Designs; and adorable handmade styles by brands such as Flaunt and Tori Higa Cards. “These are the cards you’d find in small hidden boutiques and they’re all truly unique and beautiful.”
Cards can be personalized with custom messages using a variety of fonts. Personalization costs $1.99 US per card; personalization is free for the first 3 cards. Shoppers also have the choice of having their message handwritten by a member of the GreetQ staff for an additional $1.00.
