MMI Expands Account Team with Two New Hires
North Carolina Strategic Communications Firm Grows with Addition of Senior Account Executive and Assistant Account Executive
Raleigh, NC, December 10, 2016 --(PR.com)-- MMI, a full-service public relations firm based in North Carolina’s Research Triangle region, has announced the hiring of two new additions to its account team. Gineen Cargo joins the team as Senior Account Executive and Jordan Watkins as Assistant Account Executive. They bring extensive backgrounds in brand campaign management, advertising, social media, community relations and media relations.
In Cargo’s role, she will develop comprehensive communications campaigns for many MMI clients and serve as a lead client advisor. Watkins will be responsible for supporting social media campaigns, community relations programs and media relations services to MMI clients.
Previously, Cargo served as an analyst for Bank of America Corp. in Charlotte, North Carolina, where she managed media monitoring activity in social media and traditional media channels. Prior to that, Cargo served as a marketing communications manager at Stanley, Black & Decker. In her role, she managed internal and external public relations and media activities for Black & Decker, Porter-Cable and Bostitch brands. Cargo brings extensive expertise in advertising, media planning, previously implementing strategic media campaigns for Discovery Communications, a global media company encompassing popular television channels including TLC, Animal Planet, and Investigation Discovery. At Discovery Communications, Cargo helped to enhance external network visibility, cementing a loyal viewership base. Her branding expertise will enhance MMI’s advisory services in brand strategy and campaign management. Cargo earned her Bachelor of Arts in mass communications from North Carolina Central University and her Master of Arts in strategic communications from American University. She resides in Cary, North Carolina.
Prior to joining MMI, Watkins served as an account coordinator at Bolt Public Relations in Raleigh. There she conducted statewide and national media relations campaigns generating brand awareness for clients in broadcast, print and digital media. In 2014, Watkins interned with MMI during her undergraduate studies at North Carolina State University. She’s also previously held internships at Public Schools First NC and Youth Marketing Connection, where she excelled in social media and event planning. Watkins graduated from NC State University with a Bachelor of Arts in communication, with a concentration in public relations. A native of Holly Springs, North Carolina, Watkins now resides in Raleigh.
