ASEAN Risk Awards 2016 Winners Announced
Nusa DUA, Indonesia, December 23, 2016 --(PR.com)-- After weeks of anticipation following the announcement of the ASEAN Risk Awards 2016 nominees, eight winners and runner-ups of the first ever ASEAN Risk Awards were announced in a glamorous award ceremony held on December 8, 2016 at Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort, Indonesia.
This award, hosted by Enterprise Risk Management Academy (ERMA), is the very first risk awards in Southeast Asia, focusing on acknowledging ASEAN’s achievement, leadership, and innovation especially in risk management field. It encourages organizations throughout the region to showcase their success stories which will become great contributions for the development of risk management.
The winners this year are ABM Investama from Indonesia (Risk Champion), Government Service Insurance System from Philippines (GRC Award), Indonesia Power from Indonesia (Risk Innovation), BPJS Kesehatan from Indonesia (Public Risk), Accounting Research Institute (ARI) Universiti Teknologi MARA from Malaysia (Risk Educator), BPJS Ketenagakerjaan from Indonesia (Public Initiative), Pertamina EP from Indonesia (Risk Technology) and Petrokimia Gresik from Indonesia (Risk Advocate).
These winners were chosen from 23 nominees which has gone through a rigorous judging process. Eight professional judges, expert in risk management, audit, and business, were invited to determine the winner; they are Alan Simmonds from United Kingdom, Colin Adams from Australia, Leo J Susilo from Indonesia, Ly Xuan Thu from Vietnam, Vincent Guerard from Canada, Tim Corbett from United States of America, Marc Schaedeli from Switzerland, and Gordon Song from Singapore. This year, the committee received more than 50 entries from organizations across Southeast Asia. Chair of ERMA, Mr. Antonius Alijoyo, believes that with the rapid evolution of risks, the importance of risk management practitioners and professionals’ roles has grown, so does their initiatives, commitments, and achievements, that are celebrated through this awards.
