Giving Hope 365 Launches Shoe Collection Drive

Atlanta, GA, January 06, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Giving Hope 365 Launches Shoe Collection Drive to raise money to continue their efforts to feed and clothe the homeless as well as assist the underprivileged with basic needs in and around the Atlanta, GA area.

Shoe donations will also support micro-enterprises in developing nations and reduce what goes into landfills.

Giving Hope 365 is conducting a shoe drive from December 15, 2016-January 30, 2017 to raise funds to continue their efforts to feed and clothe the homeless as well as assist the underprivileged with basic needs. Giving Hope 365 will earn funds based on the total weight of the shoes collected as Funds2Orgs will purchase all of the donated footwear. Those dollars will benefit the Homeless and underprivileged of Atlanta, GA and the surrounding areas. Anyone can help by donating gently worn, used or new shoes by emailing Giving Hope 365 at Givinghope365@gmail.com or mailing the shoes to Giving Hope 365, 6790 W. Broad St. Suite 202, Douglasville, GA 30134.

All donated shoes will then be redistributed throughout the Funds2Orgs network of microenterprise partners in developing nations. Funds2Orgs helps impoverished people start, maintain and grow businesses in countries such as Haiti, Honduras and other nations in Central America and Africa. Proceeds from the shoe sales are used to feed, clothe and house their families. One budding entrepreneur in Haiti even earned enough to send to her son to law school.

“We are excited about our shoe drive. We know that most people have extra shoes in their closets they would like donate to us and help those less fortunate become self-sufficient. It’s a win-win for everyone,” said Melissa Alexander, Executive Director.

By donating gently worn, used and new shoes to Giving Hope 365, the shoes will be given a second chance and make a difference in people’s lives.
