KantanMT Welcomes First Ukrainian University, the Kirovohrad State University to Its Academic Program
KantanMT expands localization and language technology education for Slavic Languages with the addition of The Kirovohrad State University, Ukraine to its rapidly expanding university partner program.
Dublin, Ireland, January 07, 2017 --(PR.com)-- KantanMT is pleased to announce a new academic partnership with Kirovohrad Volodymyr Vynnychenko State Pedagogical University. Thanks to the new partnership, students in the course Computer-Aided Translation Tools and Techniques will learn fundamental skills in building, managing and customising highly scalable, cloud-based Machine Translation systems for Russian and Ukrainian languages.
The course, Computer-Aided Translation Tools and Techniques, which begins early February 2017, is led by PhD in Translation and Contrastive Studies and Associate Professor, Oleksandr Bondarenko. As part of their studies, 17 students will gain access to both KantanMT and KantanLQR™ (Language Quality Review) a new online tool for evaluating the language quality of machine translations. Students will be evaluating in both English – Russian and English – Ukrainian languages.
Kirovohrad State Pedagogical University is one of the oldest and best known universities in Central Ukraine.
