Full-Time Study: WOU Offers Scholarship to All New Students
Penang, Malaysia, January 08, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Wawasan Open University (WOU) provides quality higher education to school leavers and diploma holders to enrol for full-time study programmes at its scenic main campus-by-the-sea in Penang.
The University offers affordable market driven programmes in the fields of Sales and Marketing, Banking and Finance, Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Accounting, Management, and Computer System and Networks.
In conjunction with WOU’s 10th year anniversary celebration, the University is offering a total RM10,000 in scholarship to all new students who enrol for full-time study at WOU in the February 2017 intake. The scholarship includes a RM100 monthly living allowance during their three years of study at WOU.
Being socially-inclusive, WOU underscores its social commitment to provide all Malaysians the opportunities to upgrade their lives through quality higher education at affordable cost. The fees at WOU are comparatively lower than other universities.
WOU, as the “people’s university”, takes every care and effort to ease the financial burden of students. Sammie Loke Wey Zhen, 20, who enrolled in the Bachelor of Business (Hons) in Management programme during the September 2016 intake, is happy to receive financial aid from WOU. She was drawn to the University because of its affordable fees, entering with an STPM qualification from Methodist Boys School, George Town.
“The rebates and monthly allowances offered by WOU ease the burden of students,” said Sammie who prefers to study in Penang rather than be far away from home.
“I got to know about WOU through my friend who is currently pursuing her full-time degree at WOU in Bachelor of Business (Hons) in Sales and Marketing. I chose WOU because the course syllabus for full-time Management degree offered by WOU suits my needs,” she added.
WOU’s seafront campus located in the heart of George Town provides a tranquil conducive learning environment with easy access to public transport and conveniently linked to the mainland via the ferry and bridges.
“The campus is super awesome as it is located by the seaside, surrounded by beautiful view. Moreover, the student portal is very detailed and interactive, and this helps to provide additional learning support on top of their dedicated face to face lectures. The digital library resources also connect student to an extensive network of materials and information,” she elaborated.
Enrolment for full-time study February 2017 intake is now in progress. Interested students possessing a minimum of two Principals in STPM/A-Levels or at least five grade Bs in UEC Senior Middle III or Diploma/Foundation/Matriculation or equivalent qualifications are invited to apply.
They invite you to enrol at WOU to enjoy their special scholarship in conjunction with WOU’s 10th year anniversary.
