Norwood Young's "Imagine," is a song of love, inspiration, hope, and healing.
Los Angeles, CA, January 20, 2017 --(PR.com)-- On January 19, 2017, on the eve of the 45th Presidential inauguration, was the official release video snippet release of "Imagine" on social media platforms. The song is a suitable "modern day message" spin on the original John Lennon classic of the same name.
Young's masterful lyrics, and superb melodies make for a delightful and emotionally charged experience full of inspiration and hope. "Imagine if we lived in perfect harmony," are the opening lyrics to this powerful masterpiece. "I felt that our world needed a love song that we could listen and refer to, in order that we may remain encouraged as a people, especially in the current status of our country. I feel that our immediate future is in question and that I had to do my part in keeping those of us who care, united," Young says. The single and video in it's entirety will be released in February to coincide with Black History Month.
Young, an award winning music industry veteran, began his career as a very young man on the television hit show "Star Search," having recording successes both international and domestic including lead singer of the legendary jazz band “Pieces of a Dream,” says “I always wanted to be known for my music, but somehow my home became the 'real celebrity,' and I then grew jealous of my own home.” Young also penned an explosive, and inspiring memoir entitled "Getting Back To My Me" in which he reveals his sexual abuse as a child, drug abuse, plastic surgeries, his relationship with God, and how he became victorious in his life.
In August 2011, Norwood Young, shocked the city of Los Angeles when he landed on the front page of the Los Angeles Times after announcing that he was selling his iconic home “Youngwood Court” aka "The House Of Davids." The story states that Young was now choosing to give up his opulent 22 room mansion located in the prestigious neighborhood of Hancock Park to pursue his passion of singing and performing without living in the shadows of the infamy of the home.
Most recently Norwood has been performing around the world, and was featured on E TV's hit show "Botched." Young received a reconstructive rhinoplasty that restored his sense of smell, and enabled him to breathe without restriction, and to sing again with ease.
In 2016, Young launched a signature fragrance called, "I'll Never Tell."
In spring 2017 will be the release of Norwood's EP entitled, "Imagine."
