SmartVM Announces the Release of the KVM Drawer Series

Cleveland, OH, February 02, 2008 --(PR.com)-- SmartVM announces the release of the KVM Drawer and Rackmount LCD Keyboard Drawer with Cat5 KVM Switch via standard Cat5 or Cat6 UTP cable. Designed for long-term product support, the Cat5 KVM Drawer series provides users several different KVM modules, thus never having to incur the substantial cost of upgrading their unit or units.

SmartVM has capitalized on the success of the USB KVM Drawer Series of LCD Keyboard Drawers, which is compatible with PC, Mac and SUN servers. This unit is also available with a display screen up to 20” and can be built with an optional KVM switch. Our PS2 KVM Drawer series is specifically designed to access PS/2 Servers in your server room. This KVM LCD unit is available with or without an integrated KVM switch built in a 1U or 2U frame. Our DVI KVM Drawer takes advantage of the newer DVI connection type that is growing in popularity due to its high resolution digital image. SmartVM also offers a rackmount IP KVM LCD drawer that includes 15”, 17” and 19” LCD sizes. LCD KVM over IP allows remote access to servers over the TCP/IP network via web browser and is SSL V2/V3 encrypted for secure transmission. LCD IP Cat5 KVM has secure IP access that provides the ultimate control to the BIOS level of your business infrastructure. The most unique feature of the Sunlight Readable KVM Drawer is that it is designed to perform in environments where you need to capture data under bright or intense lighting. This High Brightness KVM Drawer is offered in 15” and 17” LCD sizes and with a PS2 keyboard / mouse in 1U or 2U.

SmartVM’s various KVM Drawer series features an on-screen display (OSD) function that controls frequency, brightness, backlight, and resolution of the display. These KVM Drawer products are also available with an optional Touch screen (Resistive, capacitive, infrared) if required by your configuration. The lightweight, compact design of this hardware enables one person to easily install and maintain the unit. All KVM Drawer products come with all the necessary mounting hardware and cables, and require minimal effort for installation.
