Audubon International Featured on Main Stage at the Golf Industry Trade Show
The organization will be featured in two presentation on the live stage in the exhibition hall.
Orlando, FL, February 05, 2017 --(PR.com)-- Audubon International, an environment non-profit celebrating its 30th year anniversary, will be featured in two presentations on the main-stage of the trade show floor at the Golf Industry Show in Orlando, Florida on February 8 and 9. The Golf Industry Show, organized by the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America, (GCSAA) is an innovative trade show which attracts over 14,000 professionals in the golf industry, including owners and operators of golf facilities and golf course management professionals.
For the second year, the Golf Industry Show exhibition hall will include a main stage for brief presentations and discussions by golf industry leaders. Audubon International, exhibiting at the trade show in booth #3535, will be featured in two separate presentations on this stage on Wednesday, February 8th.
The first presentation to include Audubon International, titled, “Make Your Golf Course a Home for Birds of Prey” will include a live-bird demonstration by staff from the Avian Reconditioning Center (ARC) in Apopka, Florida. The birds featured will include a red-shouldered hawk, a barn owl, and an American kestrel. “We want to let the public know that golf courses can be fantastic habitat for raptors,” says Tara Donadio, Director of Cooperative Sanctuary Programs and moderator of the first session. “Raptors can play a critical role in the ecology of a golf course, and can be an excellent way to get member and community engagement in these important greenspaces. Working with groups like the ARC can provide expanded resources to land managers about the value of these beautiful birds, and has the potential to create lasting habitat for many threatened and endangered species.”
In a separate presentation, also on February 8, Audubon International will discuss its educational outreach offering titled, Children’s Activity Book. This activity book, designed for students of all ages, was developed to provide general awareness about habitat and wildlife on golf courses. The Children’s Activity Book is supported in part by the GCSAA, which has donated its printing in order for the book to be made available to any golf course, free of charge.
GCSAA TV will provide live broadcasts of these all the presentations on the main stage. GCSAA TV is an easily accessible, user-friendly website that features professionally produced video news stories highlighting tours of golf courses, interviews and live coverage of the Golf Industry Show in Orlando.
