First Online Documentation System for Physical Therapists Now Available
After years of planning, preparation and development, WebPT has announced that their beta testing is complete and sales of their online Physical Therapy documentation service have begun.
Phoenix, AZ, February 02, 2008 --(PR.com)-- After years of planning, preparation and development, WebPT has announced that their beta testing is complete and sales of their online documentation service have begun.
“Our development team, led by our VP of Technology, Brad Jannenga, has put in a lot of time and effort to bring us to this point, so we are excited to finally offer our product,” said WebPT Chief Executive Officer Heidi Wutscher, PT, ATC. Wutscher, a Physical Therapist with over 10 years of experience, came up with the idea for WebPT a couple of years ago as her frustrations with dictation and manual documentation boiled over. She said that the company has already seen a great deal of interest from the market, even prior to the rollout of the product. “Physical Therapists from across the country wanted to see our application even before we began marketing it. They must have felt the same type of frustrations as I did.”
WebPT provides Physical Therapists with an online documentation system that tracks all of their patients’ evaluations, progress notes, re-evaluations and discharge summaries. The program increases productivity and cuts costs as it completely removes the need for dictation or handwritten notes while allowing therapists to send their documentation directly to the referring physicians right from the system as soon as the exams are complete.
Additionally, the online format holds many advantages to the users of WebPT over traditional server-based software. “By having a web-based service, our users benefit from frequent free updates to the program, no installation of software and the corresponding IT costs, and free support and customer service,” said Matthew Wolach, Director of Sales and Marketing for WebPT. “Plus,” added Wolach, “our BETA testers were amazed by how easy the system is to use.”
WebPT is HIPAA compliant, available to any Physical Therapy clinic with an Internet connection, and able to securely track and store all of a clinic’s patient information and documentation. For more information and to schedule a demo, visit www.WebPT.com.
