About Dr. Patricia A. Heywood
Dr. Heywood is the Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics at Christ Medical Center which provides patient care in Oak Lawn, Illinois. Previously, she served as the Chairman of the Department of Obstetrics at Saint Anthony Hospital in Chicago, Illinois. She specialized in maternal-fetal medicine, clinical care, high risk pregnancies and prenatal ultrasound. She was responsible for departmental oversight and the budget. Dr. Heywood has written several articles in her field. Her affiliations include the Illinois Perinatal Quality Collaborative and the Society of Maternal Fetal Medicine.

After obtaining a B.S. in Health Sciences and French from Benedictine University in 1989, Dr. Heywood obtained a M.D. from Loyola University of Chicago-Stritch School of Medicine in 1994. She is Board Certified in Maternal and Fetal Medicine and Obstetrics and Gynecology. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her family.
