Buckley King Launches Practice Focused on Jobs and Economic Development

Cleveland, OH, February 12, 2017 --(PR.com)-- The law firm of Buckley King is very pleased to announce the addition of a sports, entertainment and media law practice focused exclusively on supporting the business and legal needs of these niche industries – industries that generate thousands of new jobs and millions of dollars in economic development each year. This exhilarating practice is dedicated to matters involving professional and amateur sports, film and television, intellectual property, the Internet, music, production legal, finance legal and media, including digital media, online gaming and entertainment software.
Richard J. (“Ricky”) Volante and Sydney Elizabeth Victor have joined the Firm to lead this practice. Ricky and Sydney represent professional and amateur sports organizations, teams, owners, sports-related entities, agents, as well as athletes, coaches and executives. They also work directly with film executives, performing artists, producers, production companies, promoters, musicians, studios, broadcasters, and Internet and technology companies. In addition, they assist financial institutions, private equity, family offices, and other investment groups interested in investing in these industries.

Ricky received his J.D. from Cleveland State University, Cleveland-Marshall College of Law and his B.S. in Sports Management from Lake Erie College.
Sydney received her J.D. from Cleveland State University, Cleveland-Marshall College of Law and her B.A. from Lake Erie College. During law school, Sydney concurrently studied at the University of Oxford at St. Anne’s College.
