The Gateway Family YMCA Adds Fifth Branch to Association
Union, NJ, February 14, 2017 --(PR.com)-- The Gateway Family YMCA announced the addition of a fifth YMCA branch to the New Jersey association, serving Eastern Union County and Northern Middlesex County. The WISE Center YMCA Branch, located in Union, NJ is the fifth official YMCA branch within The Gateway Family YMCA. The WISE Center YMCA Branch joins two current Union branches, the Five Points Branch and the Wellness Center Branch, as well as the Elizabeth Branch and Rahway Branch.
The WISE Center YMCA Branch is located at 2095B Berwyn Street in Union, NJ and is host to programs such as the W.I.S.E. (Wellness, Independence and Socialization for our Elders) Adult Day Services Program, Connections – a specialized program for individuals diagnosed with early state dementia or mild cognitive imparement, and community support groups such as a Bereavement Support Group and an Alzehimer’s NJ Caregivers Support Group.

The WISE Center YMCA follows the addition of a fourth branch, the Wellness Center Branch, also in Union, in 2011. “We are excited to see our YMCA grow to better serve our members and community,” stated Melynda A. Mileski, EVP/COO, The Gateway Family YMCA.
As stated in a proclamation signed by Kevin Washington, CEO, YMCA of the USA, “This branch has been welcomed into the worldwide family of YMCAs so that is may put Christian principles into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.”
The Gateway Family YMCA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, health and community service organization of caring staff and volunteers dedicated to strengthening the foundations of community and stands For Youth Development, For Healthy Living and For Social Responsibility.
