Polish American String Band Selects 2018 Theme

Philadelphia, PA, February 15, 2017 --(PR.com)-- On Sunday, February 12th at noon Eastern time, the Philadelphia Mummers' String Band Association conducted their annual theme submission process in which all of the bands participating in the 2018 parade, slated for January 1st, 2018, are welcome to submit their proposed theme concepts for approval. The submission is done on a first-come-first-served basis with a representative from each band being given access to a website dedicated to the submission process which unlocks at the agreed-upon time.

Completing their submission just after noon, Polish American String Band had their first selection approved and will be working to develop and prepare a Medieval/Knights-related theme for the 2018 parade.

Among the other confirmed approvals for the theme submissions are:

Avalon String Band - Legos/Toys
Duffy String Band - The Wizard of Oz
Durning String Band - Gears In Motion
Ferko String Band - Neverland
Frailinger String Band - Movies
Polish American String Band - Medieval/Knights
Quaker City String Band - Fiddler on the Roof
South Philadelphia String Band - Dead Cowboys
Uptown String Band - Voodoo
Woodland String Band - Jokers/Jesters

At the time of this release, confirmed themes have not yet been selected by the following bands:

Greater Kensington String Band
Greater Overbrook String Band
Hegeman String Band
Pennsport String Band
Trilby String Band

Preparations and show design will be underway at Polish American and in clubs throughout the area as the approach to New Year's Day 2018 continues!
