Elmhurst Coach Supports UN World Food Programme Leader
Elmhurst, IL, February 03, 2008 --(PR.com)-- Enerpace, Inc. Executive and Personal Coaching proudly announces that its President, Elene Cafasso, provided coaching services to the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) staff, as a participating coach in a program agreed to between the International Coach Federation (ICF) and WFP.
The coaching sessions conducted included:
- A debrief on each participant’s 360 report to recognize strengths and areas of further development;
- Discussion focusing on specific issues identified by the participants which arose from the 360 report; and
- Discussion on a personal development action plan.
Ms. Cafasso stated “I’m truly honored to have made a contribution through my coaching to such a great humanitarian effort. This international collaboration between the ICF and the WFP is a true first. Hopefully, it won’t be the last, since it gives professional coaches the opportunity to demonstrate how the amazing tool of coaching can be applied to any endeavor in even the most extreme situations.”
Ms. Cafasso’s client was a Supply Chain Professional who evaluates and implements the security measures necessary to insure the safe distribution of food to the WFP’s beneficiaries in Sudan. He stated “I found the coaching interactions extremely beneficial. The military communication style which served me well in my army career is apparently no longer the most effective choice in my current position. What made (the coaching) most valuable was the coach’s ability to draw my attention to the importance and value of what I previously perceived as trivial, and the negative impact that can have. It was a valuable and powerful experience.” These results are in line with a study conducted by the ICF showing 98.5% of coaching clients find the experience to be valuable or very valuable.
WFP is the world’s largest humanitarian agency: on average, distributing food to 90 million people each year, including 58 million hungry children in 80 of the world’s poorest countries. For more information on the WFP you can go to their web site: www.wfp.org
