IFI Begins Pre-Production on Luminous
Feature film based on the 2016 Election will cover Wikileaks, PizzaGate and the Media.
Los Angeles, CA, February 22, 2017 --(PR.com)-- IFI Studios has officially begun pre-production on the feature film Luminous, a fictional political thriller based on the events and behind-the-scenes activities of the 2016 Presidential election. The film will be directed by Leigh Scott and will begin principle photography in April in numerous locations around the globe. Luminous is set for a fall 2017 release.
Mr. Scott has directed and/or produced nearly forty feature films over his twenty year career. While mostly working in genre films like the wildly successful The Witches of Oz or the recent horror/comedy Piranha Sharks he did write and direct the 2006 political thriller The 9/11 Commission Report which was distributed globally. Luminous is a thriller in the same vein as Oliver Stone’s JFK and classics like All the President’s Men and The Parallax View. Mr. Scott is a political Independent and has been an outspoken critic of the mainstream media and globalist agendas.
“The intrigue and unanswered questions that emerged from the Wikileaks and the reporting on the 2016 election form the basis for a great story. People aren’t satisfied that they know the truth. I want to explore the dark side of politics, show people how these narratives all fit together. I want to call attention to the potentially sinister forces that operate behind the scenes in Washington and effect us all,” said director Leigh Scott.
The screenplay was written by Scott with input from several members of law enforcement, the intelligence community, and political operatives. The cast includes nominees and winners of numerous awards including Oscars, Emmys, and Golden Globes. Full cast will be announced prior to the commencement of principle photography.
The film is equity financed and distribution rights remain available for several territories including North America. Due to the controversial subject matter, IFI is prepared to self-distribute the film in the US in order to protect the integrity and vision of the filmmaker.
